Cronus Rally EVO FRC Build - Silly factor High
« on: September 13, 2015, 12:58:57 PM »
So we ran the EVO FR 2014 and the old rule applies if you want it done right do it yourself. The Fr had its good points and taught the team a lot of lessons. With that we are going to the basics and doing a complete from scratch build

Enjoy

Step1 start with a platform you like

Step 2 pull it completely apart

Step 3 Weld in cage and seam weld car. Start planning seating positions

Love the build you guys are doing. How protected is all of that stuff in the front of the car? Seems like a light impact will seriously destroy some equipment?

Also, racefab looks like a Evo owners wetdream, dayum that website has some fab porn on it!

Oil cooler and power steering cooler are the only pieces outside of a very VERY robust front end. Both parts can be bypassed with parts we carry. The workmanship that Mr. Bruce is putting into the car is spectacular. With everyone on the team helping out with odds and ends has turned out to be a car worth sitting infront of and just taking in all the hidden well thought out components. Its not a trailer queen show car, but dam form following function is sexy as hell!

Cool Bryan, I remember seeing some photos of the front from earlier with some gnarly looking protection, was hard to tell how far outside that protection the rest of the equipment was like :)

I like the teamwork that has gone into this car, very cool to see how much effort/energy on so many people's part have gone into it, can't wait to see it on stage!
