The club is a nonprofit organization. The club can only exist with the people behind it.

Subject: What's Happening to CSCC?

Greetings from times long ago.  Very few of you will remember the Nixon's but we were very active in the club back in the 1970's and '80's.  I was the President back in 1975 and oversaw the clubhouse move to Saddleridge from Shag and Crowchild Trail.  I recently heard about the ailing health of the club and wanted to send our regards to all old and new members and let everyone know this is a natural evolution of clubs in general and you all just need to pull together and keep working at it for the benefit of everyone interested in motorsport.

Best of luck and we hope to hear of better times in the near future!

I'm sorry I can't attend tonight - as has been the case for years, most Thursdays I teach night classes, which is why I've rarely shown up at club meetings (not like I was regular before that, but at least semi-regular. I was willing and prepared to carry on with course designs for autoslalom events, although I gather we don't have any Westerner events scheduled for this summer. I really hope we can get back on track as a club, to be punny, but serious as well.

Dang, I was intending on making it also ... but work has piled up and the car has been acting up so I can't make it ...

Hopefully someone will step to the plate to keep the club going etc.

I can be available to help anyone stepping into the slalom director position with advice etc.

Cheers!

Do the meeting minutes get posted somewhere on the website?

Short answer: It is not on the website.

Long Answer:
I was never able to track down any of the previous 7 years of meeting minutes; truthfully, there was lots I couldn't track down. The meeting of the minutes from Dec 14, 2017 - April 3, 2018, have been made available to members as of late Jan 2018. There was no active system put in place for members before this time that I have been made aware.

The club is now using a central online storage for data and using motorsportreg.com for current membership email notifications. Motorsportreg (MSR) allows the club to send out emails to current members. The club has re-missed on tracking membership over time and keeping records.

MSR was adopted from the club as of October 13, 2015 - after the CSCC AGM.

That makes sense thanks.

Lots of good ideas thrown around moving forward so I hope people have their memories working - mine is 50/50 at the best of times.

Awesome stuff and I thought at times some tough talk but overall super positive after you wake up the next morning and think how much can be done and in so many great ways. Lots of possibilities in every corner! I have always have thought that the CSSC was a great club looking in from the outside and its true so looking forward to future meetings and keeping that going.

I am a white board guy so was itching to throw all those ideas down on something.... lets keep brain storming and thanks to all who have in the past worked so hard to keep it going or we wouldn't be discussing anything.

I saw this way too late - but many of them were sent out to/through the cscc autoslalom gmail account by myself, and a few others I might have saved.  It's probably way too late to be useful but if somebody else needs them I'll take inventory of what I have / have access to.
