Autoslalom heavy mods classification
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:43:43 PM »
It's been some time since I have looked at the autoslalom rules.

Where should I be looking for classification for cars that have:
(1) Motor Swap
- Guess: Prepared

(2) Internal Engine Modifications
- Guess: Street Modified

(3) Is there an exhibition class?

If within the same "family", SM or SSM (eg. both Toyota) or XP (any brand engine but prepared = stripped down race car whereas SM/SSM have full interiors ... Street Mod, right?).  Or of course Modified classes.

(2) Internal Engine Modifications
- Guess: Street Modified ,
SM/SSM, and Prepared ... and Mod.

(3) Is there an exhibition class?

Not really.  California used to have California Street Modified.  If it had a plate, it could race.   :)  You might say SM/SSM/XP sort of fit in there.  For instance I don't think there is a single competitor in XP in our area.  Mind you we could just make up a class.

Another set of classes you might want to check out are the CAMS ... basically anything can be done to the engine, swaps, mods etc. ... all open ... I kind of like those classes myself ... like the classic muscle cars ... or modern ones for that matter ... and would be tempted to run in those classes ... Maybe it is what I grew up with ... dunno.... or an animal instinct?   ;)

I forgot to mention, we could just make up a class.

Merci, that gives me an area to narrow down.  :)

The ACR I guess still can sit in modified (missing some interior). The race car I guess CAMS or XP :)
