Chris, quick clarification regarding the entry fee. In past years I believe those with SASC or other WCMA affiliated clubs would also qualify for the discounted entry fee, will that be the same this year? This is also how we run the regular Solo-2 events.

SASC and other WCMA affiliated clubs qualify for the discounted entry fee. In Karelo there will be a payment tier for affiliated clubs. Entrants who are members of affiliated clubs will have to produce proof of membership during registration on the day of the event. For any entrant that cannot provide this proof we will ask that they pay the non-member cost.

Sorry, I thought this was clear enough:

For real?  Only CSCC members can score points and any affiliated club members who wants to compete will get the discount(if valid card is presented) but cannot score points?

What about this you don't get it?

This is not joint championship with another club.

This is our club allocating resources to organize event for our members. The event is open to the public but our bylaws allow only members to score points in our "club championship".
It's been in our bylaws since the beginning of the club.

Just so you know, this is not exclusive club or invite only.
membership is open to everyone unless one got booted from the club in the past.

Forecast for Cochrane is -23C Saturday night and high of -20C Sunday. Will the event be cancelled?

FYI - I am driving in from out of province and my participation requires an overnight stay, so could you please provide 24 hours notice of cancellation? Thanks.

Announcements will be made as early as possible through the forum and Facebook. Where possible I believe emails will be sent out as well.

The ultimate decision will be Peter who is organizing the event.
You can contact via PM - PrezeS_PL (Chris) and ChairmanMa (David) on the forum - they are providing support.

The Winter Academy will be there in the morning and that would be the only real indicator of the conditions.
