Well seeings how I suddenly have a lot more free time (all the SASC events being toasted) I signed up for this event. I have not run with you guys before, where can I find a quick run down on the club rules and regulations?

I signed up as an WCMA affiliated club member, does that work Murray?
Wow, that blows, hard to see with the distance to houses and all, but I suppose the Casino is sensitive about relations with neighbours (Calgary), since T'suu Tina band relations with the city are in the toilet as is.

Does bring up the point - we have, or had, a dB meter. Time to start making its use part of tech. If any car drives up to tech and comes across loud (or we know from previous experience it is), check in tech for 92 dB when revved up (15m astern).  No assurance it won't be louder under load on course at WOT, but somewhere to start.  We really can't be losing another venue to noise complaints. Dealing with businesses, (eg, mall, Grey Eagle), there's no objective measure to satisfy (was a single complaint from 5 blocks away reasonable - probably not - but if the business isn't fully on our side, we can be gone fast), so we need to make it painless for them to deal with their neighbours/customers.

People with loud exhausts (you know who you are Smile)- look into putting a downspout on the end even - can make a big difference to how the noise carries to have it aimed into the pavement even.  could be a clamp-on just for auto-x even. Or talk to Cam about a quieter but free flowing exhaust.

To answer your question -supp regs are here http://cscc.speedracer.ca/forums/index.php/board,47.0.html, otherwise we're under CAC/WCMA GCRs and Event rules, SCCA car classing.

I bet you that people might have heard a crazy bike driver going down glenmore/highway 8; Bikers go CRAZY fast down highway 8. I live around 17th ave and 77 street and its easy to hear them regardless of the time of day

scott,

for those of us that have work  'crowd control'  can we have several sign made up and say CSCC Autoslolum event, public can watch with signing of waiver.

something like that so whoever is doing crowd control don't have to explain over and over again.

That would be fine with me.  It's a good idea.  If someone could do that for this weekend or the next Deerfoot Mall event, it would be appreciated.  I don't have time this week to do so, but I can look into it during August.

There are some signs in the basement of the CSCC clubhouse.....might want to find them and use them for the posters explaining what is going on, waivers, etc. etc.

It seems that every event at Deerfoot Mall, I'm having car problems Sad I've missed two events in a row (Deerfoot Mall events, i.e.) and its not looking like I'd be able to make it this Saturday either  Shake head. I wish I could be there even to help out, but I think the smart thing for me to do is to work OT to pay for the parts that I broke (it broke because I tried to fix it Razz) and will be replacing.

Hoping to make the August events.

confirmation email?

lol.  I have a confirmation number, but I don't think I got an email.

It only happens to me with CSCC events.  SASC and ASA events have given me no problem.
