Helmer gets my vote, going mostly downhill for 23km is fun especially in underpowered cars.

Nicola - rocky but gentle ... it is run uphill first and then downhill out... suprisingly not many teams go faster on the downhill run but I suspect thats because the exposure is more noticable as it's now on the driver side.

Princeton Cutoff - technical with many pace changes and some bits that can break the car. its fun to attack the texas gate at the T onto pavement its even more fun since it takes a few feet of pavement to scrub the tires clean Smile. You can see the headlights running princeton from the service park in Merritt.

Helmer - One of my favorites, a long downhill that is tough on brakes. Its always great to see teams improving the second time thru... big smiles at the flying finish.

Teams that make good notes at MTR will see huge benefits when PFR rolls around since Helmer + Princeton are almost guaranteed to be run.

MT and PFR can ALWAYS use more volunteers.
I'm heading out Thursday night (6ish) and have a spare seat in the car. Kris is heading out Friday afternoon and might have room in the car.

Congrats Hardy and John! Excellent job Very Happy

I am a little worried about Tony and Johnny as well, it'd be nice to know what happened. It says "mechanical" next to their dnf's, so lets hope thats all it is.

Tony had clutch cable issues, caliper issues then blew an axle Sad

we had a great day of racing but lost a few minutes when the tranny was punctured and we ran 3 stages with no gear oil.

Fixed it in service lost 4th and 5th though

motor went last stage of the day,
