The Calgary Sports Car Club presents:
Saturday, March 27th, 2010 - in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta,
The 2010 Trail of the Gnu TSD Rally  rock on rock on rock on

Round 2 of the BC TSD Championship and the Rallywest TSD Championship.

Details will be up online as soon as we get some of our hosting/access issues sorted out, at www.trailofthegnu.ca

In the meantime, the official rally hotel has been sorted out, and special rates and a block of rooms has been set aside for the event, for both Friday night (the 26th) and Saturday night (27th).

From the Best Western Rocky Mountain House:
The cut off date for these rooms is set for March 8th , 2010, after which time we cannot guarantee room availability. Call the hotel directly to book a room off the block. Quote the following block code; GTRAIL. The toll free number is as follows; 1-866-303-3100. (I'm sure mentioning Trail of the Gnu is enough, they're happy to have us)

This rally has been a favorite among competitors and we're hoping to keep that up this year. I would strongly recommend booking at least the Saturday night in the hotel - the rally ends late, and there will be some celebrating afterwards. We don't want to hear of anyone in the ditch driving home after a long day...

I REALLY wish I could enter this one, and compete in the entire championship this year, but the V70's repair bill, is simply unaffordable.

This also means that I wont be able to checkpoint either : (

If anybody wants to co-drive for me, they'll have an exciting day of massively sideways fun... I mean, controlled driving trying to hit our target times...  Clap The Gnu is my favourite tsd by far. Good terrain, good conditions, fun times. Thunderbird is cool but quite the trek for us Albertans.

Life is like a rally, it comes at you faster and faster, and isn't always straight...

There's always a slick spot around the corner and don't worry about getting sideways... that's what life is about!

Update on the hotel.  They were very nice to us and extended our time to book a room until March 14th. So if you know you are coming please please call them and book your room ASAP.  Thanks
