Hello all,

Please find below a list of confirmed events for the 2010 Solo 2 season.  Although the list of events appears paltry at first, please keep in mind I am in discussions with a couple of potential local venues.  Hopefully, I will confirm days with them soon and add to the schedule.  Once that happens, I will look to fill in any gaps I can while considering other disciplines and other club events, etc.  Thanks for your patience everyone.

Sunday, June 13 - Westerner, Red Deer

Sunday, June 27 - Deerfoot Mall, Calgary

Saturday, July 3 - Westerner, Red Deer
Sunday, July 4 - Westerner, Red Deer REGIONAL

Sunday, July 18 - Deerfoot Mall, Calgary
Saturday, July 24 - Deerfoot Mall, Calgary

Saturday, August 14 - Westerner, Red Deer
Saturday, August 28 - Westerner, Red Deer

Sunday, September 12 - Deerfoot Mall, Calgary
Sunday, September 19 - Deerfoot Mall, Calgary
Saturday, September 25 - Westerner, Red Deer

Daily Schedule
Registration/Tech opens at 8:30 am and closes at 9:15 am sharp.
Rookie Course walk 9:30 am
0river's meeting 9:45 am
First car out around 10:00 am

All events at Deerfoot Mall and Westerner Park will be during the day (9am start time).

For Club Championship - best 8 events will be counted. For Rookie Championship - best 7 events will be counted. As always, you must be a Club Member in good standing to qualify for Championship Trophies (both Club and Rookie).  Club and Rookie Championship subject to the Director securing additional events to fill some gaps (to be announced).

Looking good!  A couple of those events Aug14 and Sept19 are back to back with RDSCC events at the same location... Bonus!!!

According to my calendar this is still a whole for the Jul 17 thru Aug 7 weekends (not considering Solo1 tho).

Murray, thanks for mentioning that the Winnipeg club is holding an event at the old air base in Rivers.  That's where I grew up and it would be great to pair an event with a trip home.

I'm guessing that July 3 and 4 would be the Stampede Motorsports Weekend and the Sunday part being the WCMA Regional?

That is the intent of the July 3 and 4 weekend.  Things at work just need to settle down a bit so I can get on that (and my other responsibilities!).

I should have a few more dates posted in the next day or two.

For clarification, is 9am the time at which the first car is supposed to be on course?  Or is that when we should get there to help set up and everything?

We rarely manage to get a car out by 9 am, but showing up then is definitely too late.  You should plan on being there early enough to be teched and registered by 9 am.  Show up earlier if you have tires to change.
