It was fun for myself as an instructor also. And a learning experience - I've driven full size pickups, even small (single axle, <12,500GVWR) dump trucks, but Dawn's (sp?)full-size turbo-diesel Chevy pickup was a beast and a half to get turning on the ice, or stop turning once it was rotating. Crazy torque, right off idle.

Now you know how I feel everyday, fun eh?

I'd also like to thank Reijo and all of the volunteer instructors for a fun day. It was great meeting some good people and learning about my car.

Glad to hear of all the positive comments.....I am continuing to get more great feedback via email including requests/inquiries about more schools.

I am currently looking at booking at least one more ice/snow driving school on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 - paperwork is under way - stayed tuned!

OK - the Feb. 20 date is a "go".

I need a few instructors again.  Let me know if you are interested......might be easier for those of you who were out last time - if you are available.

Probably questioning it because the club is also be looking for volunteers for the club exhibit at WoW - which I am committed to, so I won't be able to help for this school. I don't know if there's many other potential conflicts, though.

Yup - didn't think it was that far off the radar. I know this is under non-cscc events, but events that weekend will make it harder to find people with 'nothing better to do.'

Yes, that is an unfortunate conflict and not intentional.  A previous weekend did not work for a number of would-be students and I'll be into midterms on the following weeks....and next thing you know the ice will be melting.....hence the date.....which seemed to be the best available one.  Otherwise, there would be no more schools and there is more demand right now.....so it was a choice of hold the school or potentially forget it until the next season.

I'm intending on dropping in at the WOW myself this year as well....might be Friday or Sunday in this case....or I suppose Sat. nite would work also....we'll see....gotta get through the rest of this week fist.....a crazy busy week for me.

This school is a "go" for this Saturday - Feb. 20.

If you know of someone who'd be interested, please let them know.  This is likely the last one for this year.

We have had very positive feedback from the students thus far!
