Competitors,

The 3 day CSCC SoloSprint Regional event at Race City is just around the corner.

 To Welcome all the local and the out of town competitors we have arranged for the following social activities.

Social Activities:  
- Participants are invited to drop into Shanks Sports Bar (9627 MacLeod Tr S) on Friday evening at 6:30pm for a no-host evening get together.
- Included in the event fee is a BBQ party at the SoloSprint Chairman’s house on Saturday night at 6:30. Food and drinks will be provided. (2533 – 4th Ave N.W). Please email solosprintcalgary(AT)yahoo.ca if you can make it and also if there are any dietary restrictions.

Please note there is Space still available for this 3-day event, so please tell all your friends to come out and have some fun!

The entire event including Practice on August 14, two competition days August 15th/ 16th and BBQ is available for only $350.  

Alternative option:
August 14 – Practice alone, $175 (most lapping evenings run in excess of $200), a license is not required for the practice session (a limited number of instructors will be available).
August 15&16 – Competition days, $225 for both days (the two days cannot be split).

Is it to late to register for the practice alone?

My buddy doesn't have his license ( solo 1 license....he does have a class 5) and wanted to try it out.

You still have time to register, I have attached the standard Regional event registration form (above).  Replace the $350 amount with $175 for lapping alone and send off the form and payment.

Sweet, there's about 2 or 3 guys now who wanna try it out but don't a license...would u have enought space for 3 more for the practice alone?

Will there be helmets there to rent?

It's to my understanding that you do need track experience before you can come out.

Typically, track experience is required to participate.  However, drivers can join us for lapping on Aug 14 and have an instructor ride along for evaluation in regards to car control and safety.  Classroom material will be provided for self study prior to the arrival to the track.  Consider Aug 14 as a mini school for new to Solo Sprint drivers.

What if they are not CSCC or any club members?

Also, since slow mail might not get the form in in time, should they just bring it to the track, or drop it off in person?

I think we can be flexible for a single event.  Complete the registration form and have it ready for 1st thing Friday morning with cash or cheque.
